ALL PAYMENTS: to be made upfront and in full to secure vehicles/bookings; EFT payments must reflect in our account before vehicles can be released, or as arranged with management; Prebookings will require a minimum deposit to be paid to secure a vehicle/service.
ADMIN FEE: all invoices incur a 4% admin fee calculated on the total invoice amount.
PRICING / QUOTATIONS: prices/rates quoted are current at the time of quotation and are subject to change without prior notice, all quotes unless otherwise arranged in writing with management are only valid for 7 days from date of quotation.
SELF DRIVE RENTALS
EXCESS/DEPOSIT: This amount will be blocked on the renter’s card for the duration of the rental and released when the vehicle is returned to S.L.V., the client’s liability is the excess/deposit hold quoted or up to 15% of the value of the vehicle, whichever is greater. A credit card must be supplied for this amount to be held before the vehicle will be released unless other arrangements have been made in writing with SLV management.
IDENTIFICATION: drivers must produce a valid unendorsed driver’s license and ID (SA Residents) or Passport (Non – SA Residents) before the vehicle can be released; drivers must have held a valid driver’s license for 5 years or longer;
SPEEDING FINES: all speeding fines incur a R500.00 admin fee on top of the cost of the fine;
ACCIDENT HANDLING FEES: R500.00 admin fee levied on all damages and claims;
NO SMOKING FEES: a valet charge of R1,050.00 applies should this not be adhered to;
VALET FEES: a once-off cleaning charge of R150.00 is added to each self-drive rental invoice; additional valet charges will be charged for vehicles returned dirty, this charge would be subject to the condition of the vehicle being returned to Status Luxury Vehicles and therefore subject to managements discretion.
FUEL: vehicles not returned full will be refuelled at the cost at the pump and will be charged to the client’s invoice;
ADDITIONAL DRIVERS: (other than the cardholder) incur a once-off fee of R350.00 per driver;
AGE LIMITS: drivers must be 28 years of age or older, Supercar rental drivers must be 30 years of age or older;
LOST KEYS: A minimum fee of R250.00 will be charged for lost keys.
WINDSCREEN & TYRE DAMAGE: Windscreens and tyres are not covered by the insurance policy that Status Luxury Vehicles has in place, as per clause 11.4 of the rental contract, the renter also acknowledges that in the event of damage to a tyre, the opposite tyre will also require replacement to ensure even tread.
DELIVERY & COLLECTION: free delivery and collection included within a 25km radius from our offices between 08h00 – 20h00, Monday – Saturday, excluding public holidays; deliveries made outside of these times and area are subject to a fee to be quoted at the time of request;
RETURNS: vehicles returned between 30min – 1hr after agreed time are subject to a charge of half the daily rate, any returns over an hour will incur a full additional days charge;
CROSS BORDER RENTALS: Status Luxury Vehicles does not offer cross border rentals unless prearranged with management;
MILEAGE: Free mileage for supercars is 100km/day; For all other vehicles the free mileage is 150km/day unless otherwise arranged in writing with S.L.V. management
VEHICLE GUARANTEES: Status Luxury Vehicles will always endeavour to give you the exact vehicle you have requested however due to the nature of our business we cannot guarantee vehicle makes, colours or models;
CANCELLATION POLICY
Days refers to the total days prior to the start of a rental/service.
- 31 + days: 25% of invoice total;
- 30 – 15 days: 50% of invoice total;
- 14 – 8 days: 75% of invoice total;
- 7 – 0 days: 100% of invoice total.
Once a self-drive rental is in progress a 100% cancellation fee would apply should the vehicle be returned early.
